Making our communities healthy places to live, learn, work, and play.

Health is everyone’s business. It enhances our individual quality of life and it impacts educational attainment, work site productivity and costs, and the economy in general. Maintaining and improving health status can have a significant impact on a community.

Many organizations have processes for assessing and addressing the health of their community. Those processes may be called different things – Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) or Community Health Improvement Plans and Processes (CHIPP), for example– but they share the same goal: making the community a healthy place to live, learn, work, and play.

The Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards (WALHDAB) invites you to explore our community health improvement resources, intended for all community members and organizations working to address health issues.
