Join our Community of Practice
Community Health Improvement in Action (CHIA) invites you to join its Community of Practice, created to deepen knowledge and expertise in implementing and evaluating community health improvement strategies, with an emphasis on approaches that address unhealthy and risky alcohol use in Wisconsin communities.

Community of Practice members will:

  • Discuss common problems

  • Share best practices

  • Collaboratively create solutions

  • Work together for more coordinated state or regional efforts

  • Learn:

    • To develop, implement, and evaluate policy, systems and environmental change

    • To choose and effectively use evidence-based interventions

    • To create and implement evaluation plans

    • To advocate for policy change

    • And more!

The CHIA Community of Practice will meet in-person via expert-facilitated training and statewide summits, and electronically via webinars, conference calls, and an online forum/discussion board.

Community of Practice participants will have the opportunity to use CHIA community health improvement tools that address unhealthy and risky alcohol use, including community dashboard models to measure progress and an updated pick list of evidence-based practices.
