• Advocacy 101 Webinar - Listen in for tips and tricks on advocacy work, meeting with your legislator, and making an ask.

• Advocacy DO's and DON'T's - There are many things we should do when reaching out to our local, state and national leaders. Also, what we shouldn't. View this fact sheet for some additional recommendations.

• Contact Your Legislator– Members can download a pocket directory of legislators, find out who their legislator is, and learn more about advocacy.

• Member input form– WALHDAB members can request that the Policy & Advocacy Committee take specific action on a policy, plan, proposal, or piece of legislation.

• Legislative Notifications - Get personalized email notifications based on Wisconsin’s legislative and administrative rules activity. You can follow legislation by subject, proposal, committee, authors, and more. Get administrative rules notices, following the administrative register by agency or chapter.

• Resolution Database - WALHDAB has added this group forum option to share more background and details as members are passing resolutions.

• NACCHO Advocacy Toolkit - Resources, tools, and tips needed to meet with Members of Congress and their staff and deliver effective messaging to promote public health priorities.

The Policy & Advocacy Committee promotes health policy development by recommending action and educating members and public officials about legislative issues. They meet on an ongoing monthly basis.
