As part of the FPHS Costing and Capacity Assessment, WALHDAB partnered with KW2, a digital and advertising agency, to develop messaging on the best way to frame the work of local health departments. The messages reinforce the narrative that local health departments value local approaches and are invested in and committed to the success of the community. The following materials were developed by KW2 for use by both WALHDAB and local health departments.

Messaging Guide

Outlines the messaging “north star”

Emotionally connects the work of LHDs with the values that decision-makers are looking for

Includes responses to help overcome some common narratives or misunderstanding about LHDs and the services they provide

Handout/One-Pager

Focuses on statewide themes that can be supported by local impact

Can be shared with policymakers, community leaders, and elected officials to proactively share about the work of LHDs

PPT Template

A customizable template that can be enhanced with local stories.
