New Local Health Officer Orientation Summer Session Recap

The Summer 2017 session of the New Local Health Officer Orientation took place in Wausau, WI on July 31st and August 1st, 2017.

Topics included a Colors Communication Follow up, Communication with a special focus on media training, Change Management, BOH Relationships, Supervision, Budgeting: Funding and Billing, Human Health Hazards, and a special additional Environmental Health Training.  Networking and sharing of resources were among the highest value for attendees.  

This session included graduation of one health officer, Debbie Armbruster, De Pere Department of Public Health. Congrats Debbie! WALHDAB wishes you success as a graduated Health Officer!

Everyone was asked to line up according to years of experience in Public Health. Great way to get to know the level of experience in the room!   Attendees hearing from Mary Dorn (Health Officer - Outagamie County), on Supervision challenges and how to address them.
