Do you want to improve your skills in implementing and evaluating community health improvement initiatives?  Community Health Improvement in Action (CHIA) has just begun a series of 10 educational webinars.  A 1-hour webinar every few months is planned through 2016, and recordings will be archived. For a listing of past, present, and future webinars, visit the Calendar under the Education and Events tab at www.WICommunityHealth.org.

The webinars are part of the CHIA Community of Practice, which aims to deepen knowledge and expertise in implementing and evaluating community health improvement strategies, with an emphasis on policy, systems, and environmental changes that address unhealthy and risky alcohol use in Wisconsin communities. In addition to the webinars, the CHIA Community of Practice meets in-person via expert-facilitated training and statewide summits, and electronically via its Google Group forum/listserv.

The next CHIA webinar will take place on March 16 at noon:  “Working Together in Community Health Improvement.” Stephanie Johnson, Community Coach for the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program, will provide strategic guidance and tools for engaging and sustaining community partnerships. If your coalition is struggling to recruit new partners, build trust, or move stakeholders into action, join us and learn new techniques for strengthening collaborative efforts.
