The National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) is the nation's most widely used healthcare-associated infection (HAI) tracking system. NHSN is a secure, internet-based surveillance system developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that allows healthcare facilities to report HAI data. NACCHO invites you to learn more about NHSN and upcoming changes to data use agreements that may impact how local health departments can more easily access NHSN data. Participants will also hear from two local health departments about the process they used to gain access to NHSN data, lessons learned, strategies for success, and current and future uses for the data.
