MCW Consortium on Public and Community Health Call for Nominations

The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW) is pleased to announce an opportunity to join a volunteer leadership board that is helping to propel the most promising work and ideas to advance the health of Wisconsin communities. AHW is seeking nominations to fill a public member vacancy on the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Consortium on Public and Community Health in the category of community health advocate, defined by the Order of the Insurance Commissioner as:

 

A qualified, independent, representative from among the following:

a.       an advocate concerning health issues of particular concern to a minority community;

b.       an advocate concerning health issues of particular concern to women;

c.       an advocate concerning health issues of particular concern to senior citizens;

d.       an advocate concerning children’s health issues;

e.       a representative of a non-profit or local government rural community health organization;

f.        a representative of a non-profit or local governmental community health organization other than a rural community health organization

The nomination deadline is September 15, 2017.
