ACTIVITIES

 | Share professional information/viewpoints and establish a common voice for
public health in governance and administration. |
| Formulate a legislative agenda to direct focus of positions. |
| Review status of key issues and develop positions. |
| Educate members regarding public health practice issues through an annual
conference, regular meetings, and legislative updates. |
| Recognize public health leader contributions annually. |

GOVERNANCE
|
| Governance is by a Board of Directors who represent, in equal numbers, the
Board of Health Division and the Administrative Division. The Board is comprised
of two representatives, one from each Division, elected by each of the State
public health regions and administrative specialty representative(s). Directors
are elected by the membership. |
|
REGIONAL STRUCTURE
|
| The Association is organized regionally
consistent with the State public health regions. |
|
COMMITTEES
|
| Standing committees include: Executive, Joint
Public Affairs (WALHDAB & WPHA), Annual Meeting/Program, Public Health Advisory,
Nomination and Bylaws. Committees welcome new members. |
|
