Manage the Process

Behind the scenes of an effective community health improvement process, there needs to be strong and capable leadership and an effective organizational structure to support the ongoing efforts of the collaborative process.

Elements of an effective process-management system include:

  • Clearly defined roles and responsibilities

  • An agreed-upon vision and purpose

  • A plan/timeline for implementing the entire process, including regular meetings of the leadership team

  • Financial support and endorsement from organizational leaders
